Greetings 国产探花Parents and Guardians,

Welcome to the second installment of the 国产探花e-news, a bi-weekly electronic newsletter designed to provide you with all the latest 国产探花news! I am Dr. Paul Stanton, the proud Superintendent of the Washington Elementary School District (国产探花). In today’s communication, you will find some of the changes we promised to incorporate this school year including simplified messages and more visual elements. In addition, we are proud to start celebrating some of our incredible 国产探花staff.

Congratulations to Sunnyslope Elementary School Principal Chance Whiteman who recently received the 2022 Hope Honor award from the MASTERS Institute, formerly Kids at Hope! This award celebrates those who embrace the Kids at Hope philosophy of all children are capable of success, No Exceptions! We are so proud of Mr. Whiteman for his efforts in creating lifelong learners and building a successful future for all.

Sign Up for ParentVUE

国产探花is proud to provide ParentVUE, a tool to help you keep up with your child’s academic progress. With ParentVUE, you can have access to your child’s classes, assignments, grades and attendance. ParentVUE also allows you to send messages to your child’s teacher, making it that much easier to communicate with them throughout the school year. To register for ParentVUE, you will first need to activate your account. Please to begin the process of setting up your ParentVUE account today. For more information, please contact your child’s school office.

Upcoming Override and Bond Elections

The 国产探花Governing Board called for a special Maintenance and Operations (M&O) Budget Override Election and a special Bond Election for November 8th, 2022.

Currently, the 国产探花provides full-day kindergarten, Music, Art and PE opportunities, and Gifted and Intervention Programs for all students with M&O Override funds. M&O Override funds also help the District maintain competitive salaries for instructional staff. The continuation of an M&O Override will allow the District to provide our enhanced programs and services, and attract and retain teachers and instructional staff, both essential components for the success of our 国产探花students.

In addition, the 国产探花uses bond funds to fulfill important capital projects. If this funding is continued, 国产探花will use it for safety projects, building system upgrades and replacements, site upgrades, classroom technology and student transportation.

Attendance Matters, 国产探花!

This school year, the District will be sharing important resources, tips and information on how you can help your child build and maintain a healthy habit of good attendance. Parents, the District and I highly encourage you to make every effort to have your child in school each day, on time. That being said, if your child is ill, please be sure they stay home and recover before returning to the classroom. To learn more, please click here.

国产探花está orgulloso de proveer ParentVUE, una herramienta para ayudarlos a mantenerse al día con el progreso académico de sus hijos. Con ParentVUE, pueden tener acceso a las clases, los trabajos, las calificaciones y la asistencia de sus hijos. ParentVUE también les permite enviar mensajes al maestro de sus hijos, facilitando la comunicación con ellos a lo largo del año escolar. Elecciones Futuras del Sobrepaso y el Bono

El Consejo Administrativo del 国产探花convocó una Elección especial en cuanto al Sobrepaso del Presupuesto para Mantenimiento y Operaciones (M&O por sus siglas en inglés) y una Elección de Bonos especial para el 8 de noviembre, 2022.

Actualmente, con los fondos del Sobrepaso M&O, el 国产探花provee kindergarten de día completo, oportunidades de Música, Arte y Educación Física, y Programas para Estudiantes Dotados y de Intervención para todos los estudiantes. Los fondos del Sobrepaso M&O también ayudan al Distrito a mantener salarios competitivos para el personal de instrucción. La continuación del Sobrepaso M&O le permitirá al Distrito proveer nuestros programas y servicios mejorados y atraer y retener maestros y personal de instrucción, ambos componentes esenciales para el éxito de nuestros estudiantes del 国产探花.

Además, el 国产探花usa los fondos del bono para llevar a cabo proyectos de capital importantes. Si este financiamiento continúa, el 国产探花lo usará para proyectos de seguridad, actualizaciones y reemplazos al sistema de edificios, actualizaciones a instalaciones, tecnología para el salón de clase y transportación para estudiantes.

Este año escolar, el Distrito estará compartiendo recursos, sugerencias e información importante sobre cómo pueden ayudar a sus hijos a cultivar y mantener un hábito saludable de buena asistencia. Padres, el Distrito y yo los animamos encarecidamente a esforzarse al máximo para que sus hijos estén en la escuela todos los días, puntualmente.
